In August of 2018 I decided to move to Sydney, Australia for a second postdoc! I will be working with Dr. Ian Wright (https://wrightlab.wordpress.com/). For the next three years, I will be testing least cost theory (the idea that plants minimize the summed unit costs of carboxylation and photosynthetic water use) by carrying out a field campaign across Australia's forests. The goal is to measure plant physiological traits across varying environmental conditions, where either nutrients or water may be easier to obtain.
I will be using a LICOR680 (pictured left), and will be building a team of hired assistants and volunteers to help me. For more images from this project, please visit our lab website!
